Main Points Raised during the meeting, but necessary all that where discussed.

Speaker David Brozina, Ministry of Foreign Affairs
1. Foreigners act will maintain legal status to current UK nationals
We need to exchange ID card new Card.
2. We all must contribute to health, but not all. i.e Pensioners
European health insurance card will no longer be valid
There can be upto 25 different scenarios/statuses how you can claim health insurance; i.e. have Slovene spouse, work in Slovenia, etc..
3. Suggest to get permanent residency asap, after 5 years stay. Visit Upravna Enota (the community)
4. www.mzz.si will come online after 26.02.2019 when British parliament votes again on brexit deal. This site will contain specifics on what British National should be doing to get prepared for Brexit as expats.
5. Exchange driving license to local driving license, fee is 22€ and should take 2-weeks to arrive.
Driving entitlements need to be double check during the exchange, we recommend taking a photo copy of both side to ensure you dont loose entitlements as proof what you have.
Your UK license will be surrendered, but you can register for new UK driving license once back in the UK as a resident.

Normally a resident is class a persons who is staying for longer than 3-months in one nation, works and pay local taxes, other factors also apply.
